2,044 Words!
Ahh, my inaugural day of writing started off badly thanks to an entire day spent gluing cement bricks together with mortar and stacking them up as best as I could in an effort to lay foundation for a room that will be occupied by someone other than me... I hope they're happy!
But then I ate supper, took a shower, turned off all the lights in my room and churned through 2,044 words in about an hour or so, and then I spent more time than should be necessary trying to update my NaNoWriMo profile with a word count and synopsis and title and all the fancy things like that. Haven't got enough written to give an excerpt, which I do like to do in spite of my not letting anyone actually read the ENTIRE transcript, because I haven't gotten enough written that would make you go "hmm, that sounds interesting."
Here's a link to my profile, because I forgot to give you one last time I mentioned it, but it's always been on the side bar to your right, so it's not like you didn't know I had one unless you don't pay very close attention! The site is incredibly slow, as it likes to be during the first week or so of writing... I figure it's because, at this point, everyone's fired up and ready to do some writing, but it takes about a week for people to give up and go back to doing something less interesting. But not me!

2044 in your first day? o.o
I was happy when I got 1677 with 5 minutes to spare...
My profile is Here.
Best of luck! You finished last year, you can do it again! (and hopefully so can I...)
