Hello, LUELinks!
Saturday, October 11th, 2008A warm greeting to all you LUELinks members!
Don't think I haven't noticed your influx of traffic to my Democrat Standards post from a forum topic of yours. I can only imagine what you're saying behind your locked doors, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say you probably disagree with what I said... I mean, hey! I've long ago come to realize that my views, however accurate, are usually looked down upon, but I've also come to realize that even "bad" publicity is good publicity! I think it's absolutely incredible how my tiny part of the Internet manages to get listed at places like 4chan and Fundies Say the Darndest Things and LUELinks. But this is the second time you've linked to one of my posts, and you were the first large community to link to me. You hold a special place in my heart as being the first major group of people I ticked off! (Unless, of course, you agree with me, but if that were the case, I would think that some of you would have commented here, too... Obviously I'm not a member, so I can look for myself.)
By the way, I don't remember which post of mine it was that you linked to, but I do have the link to the forum topic on your site... If someone could check out the link and see if it's still there, I'd much appreciate a comment telling me which post it talks about. It's mostly out of curiosity and so I can make a note of it for future reference, but I don't imagine I'll ever get an answer, so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
What I can never get over is the amount of random people who visit my site and then go spread their lies to their own circle of influence. Now, I'm not saying that's the case here... It's just an observation I've made since I started making controversial posts. People rarely make themselves known here, and when they do, they almost never use any form of unique identification... They sign their comments as "Anonymous" with bogus and sometimes humorously insulting email addresses and website addresses. I mean, I've got myself a pretty unified method of identification. Heck, I even link to my profiles on the other sites that I use regularly. It's not like I'm hiding behind the name "Mister Anonymous"... Although I could be construed as being anonymous because I use the ambiguous nickname GermanShepherd, but that was purely out of habit since when I made this site, my sole form of online identification rested in the Myst community and everyone knew my name.
Which brings up a new page I was planning to add to this site! Since I'm pretty much an outcast from the Myst community for a variety of reasons, I think I need to establish a more specific Internet persona. Naturally, I don't want to get too specific, but I might go for an About Me page that gives some basic information about myself. Something to take the "this is some random weirdo" idea out of the picture. (Yeah, from "random weirdo" to just "weirdo.") But at any rate, the fact remains that I sign my name (or as close to it as you'll get) to these posts and nobody else seems to want to go on record. I dunno... I've just always thought that was interesting for some reason, and I always get reminded of it when I noticed a burst of traffic incoming from somewhere I can't see. What ARE they saying about me... Am I doing my Christian duty by being light to the world and making people upset by my radical conservative thoughts, or are these people who might actually agree with me? Either way, they seem to be too timid to make themselves known here... Hiding in the dark recesses of the Internet, looking out from behind barred gates.
Anyway! I just wanted to say this: I really don't mind what you're saying behind my back. If you need to do that to get your kicks, then feel free, but I just want to make it clear that you can say whatever you want to my cyber-face and I'll just laugh it off. (I know I'm right, after all!) I like reading about you people... It's like trying to understand an alien culture. Why DO you do the things you do? Why do you think the things you think? How in all heck do you come to the conclusions that you do? It's a mystery, indeed!
