End of the Day

Not very highly!
At the end of the day, what did the Dow Jones think of the bail out?

Not very highly!
As promised, I was able to dig up the list of who voted which way on the atrocious bail out bill that went against the vast majority of the voters' wishes. I'm happy to say that my Representative Dan Burton once again voted NO on this bill, but I also noticed that my neighboring district's Representative "Silent Joe" Donnelly voted for it. It's really not surprising... You know this is Donnelly's first time in office and he has not once listened to anything we've asked him to do? He ran his campaign conservatively, promising to do so much more than our deadbeat Republicans did and he turned out to be far worse than anyone ever anticipated. He's not even coming to his own district to debate the Republican who's challenging his seat. Absolutely amazing... None of us are happy with him, I can tell you that, and none of you should be happy with anyone who voted for this bail out. It's astonishing how Speaker Nancy Pelosi kept running her mouth off about how this is supposed to help "Main Street" (my gosh, that buzz word needs to die right now) and that it was to help "Mr. and Mrs. Jones" instead of the Dow Jones. It's great how they ignored the cries of the voters... The cries so loud that they STILL have this notice up:
Due to an unusually high amount of emails currently being submitted through the Write Your Representative feature (above), you may experience a slow response or error message when attempting to send emails through this system during hours of peak demand. We apologize for this inconvenience. Our technicians are working to fix the problem. Thank you.
Each and every person who voted YES on this, Democrat and Republican, needs voted out, period. They went against the majority of the public, claiming that it was for our own benefit, and overstepped the boundaries of the government and turned the mortgage industry into a nationalized, socialist "fair" system. Absolutely disgraceful. Oh, and don't get me wrong, I'm just as ticked off at that fellow who sits in the Oval Office and dares call himself a Republican President. I know Presidents always go a little wild at the end of their last term, but this is uncalled for. Not only did he reach across the aisle, but he willingly dove into mire of sludge and slime that is the socialist left and completely betrayed the idea of a capitalist free market. The very ideas that has made this country the single best country on the planet, the ideas of free market and a non-interfering government, are being chucked out the door thanks to a majority in Congress who ignores the majority of the voters.
Alright, my rant is done... But seriously. These guys deserve to be smacked down and to never be allowed in a government position ever again, and Chris Dodd and Barney Frank and everyone directly involved with an responsible for the catastrophe of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae needs to be put in prison for a very long time, plain and simple. I hope you realize that the very people who repeatedly shot down bills designed to prevent this very thing are now in control of the 850 billion dollars (yes, it's the same 700 billion dollar bail out, but those extra 300 or so pages gave them 150 billion more dollars to work with) dedicated to fixing the mess they claimed would never happen in the first place. Outrageous and despicable.
(Guess my rant wasn't done!)
The stock market tanks after the bill passes... I told you to expect them not to mention it and I was right:

Granted that's our state newspaper, the Indianapolis Star, (here's a link to the article) but it just proves my point. Sure, the trading WAS up in anticipation, but then FELL DRAMATICALLY in the wake of being passed to levels near that when the market opened this morning. Just watch... They'll ignore it that the market fell after passing the bill when it did the same thing when it didn't pass and Congress ramped up their scare tactics and said "LOOK! IT'S FAILING!"
So the arrogant House Democrats and Republicans who don't think they have to listen to anyone managed to pass the bailout bill and nationalize the housing market by letting the people who caused the crisis take control of the problem. Can't find a roll call since the House site is running poorly... But how did the stock market react to the bill passing?

Not too well... Granted, the day isn't over yet and the market had a hiccup since I took this screenshot and went up a bit, but then I checked again after writing this post and it's pretty much returned to the level shown in this screenshot, so I'll go ahead and post it. See the little blue dot on the chart? That marks 1:30pm EDT, which is when the bill actually passed, and I was watching it on C-SPAN, hwahaha!
So yes... Stock market tanks when the bill doesn't pass and the supporters pointed and told us how disastrous it was that those of us with brains didn't let it pass. Now the stock market tanks when the second, far fatter with earmarks that was supposedly so much better for us on "Main Street". But I'll bet you don't hear Congress going "oops, maybe we shouldn't have done this." No. They got what they wanted: Control over the mortgage market.
Time to kick them all out! Stay tuned for when I managed to get a list of who voted which way.
Well, I just remembered that I had downloaded a massive set of music files that were used in aforemention Kumikyoku medley... I knew the tune that played during the screenshots I provided in my last post, so I went down the list until I found it! A track called "Genesis of Aquarion" that looked promising. After some creative Googling, I found the Japanese name was "Sousei no Aquarion" and I stuck that into YouTube and voila! It was a perfect match... The entire last half of the opening credits were what I saw in the Kumikyoku video. After doing a bit of reading about it, it looks both really neat and really boring. I don't know if I'll try to find it or not.
But anyway, you may now disregard the previous post!
I'm in a predicament... First, I decided to watch the Automatic Mario Kumikyoku a couple nights ago and managed to get myself once again addicted to the weird and yet equally amazing music that was painstakingly arranged into a mind-boggling 11 minute medley. (Even more boggling is the length of that last sentence, eh?) Second, I decided to look at all the different variations of that Kumikyoku video... Big mistake. Not only are all the variations equally amazing, but the sheer level of Japanese weirdness grows with each new video. Not only was it addicting, but I managed to find some really neat looking scenes from an anime series that I can't identify, so I'm coming to YOU for help! Yes, you.
I've got 9 screenshots... I'm going to assume that they're all the same series since the art style is so similar, but in case each one happens to be different, I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me what they are. They're clearly science fiction (most of them, at least) and, as anyone who knows me can tell you, I fall for that kinda stuff... Anyway! Without further ado, the screenshots after da jump! Figured I'd hide it behind the post so people who don't care about anime won't get flooded with a ton of images.
