Behold, what I came back to after a weekend without Internet access:
Apparently, Google Reader doesn't count high enough!
Now, sadly, it looks like the lastest incarnation of "Mister Anonymous" never returned despite my pleas for some sort of continuation of the conversation... What gives? No, honestly, I don't know why they do this. it's a question I keep asking and a question I will probably keep asking ever more. There's no explaining what those kind of people do, eh?
Also, here's an interesting article I found about a kill switch on the iPhone, as confirmed by Steve Jobs himself, apparently. I mean... When Slashdot runs an article like this, you KNOW it's accurate. At least, they realized that the news would get out eventually, so they might as well be the first to showcase it and downplay it as much as possible... So what you read is probably the most undeniable facts of the situation, with all the more unsubstantiated rumors left out. You know, the kind of unsubstantiated rumors that make the Linux people break out in hives if Microsoft was ever caught with the ability to selectively terminate third party applications installed on Windows... All they'd need is for someone to say it without even providing a link and they'd all go ballistic and cite it as fact. Ah, well... Here's the link if you're interested. Be sure to read the comments and lose count over the posts that try to explain how this doesn't matter because Apple's doing it.
Now, a personal request. CyanChat was of absolutely no help and even with a name list that scrolled, everyone either flat out ignored me (no surprise there) or was quite callous in their response (I must also admit to no surprise there). Seriously, the quality of the community has plummeted since I last set foot in that dark, dank hole of hypocritical tolerance. Anyway, enough with the snarky smearing... Does anyone know where Capella is? Has anyone heard from her in the last two or three weeks? I last talked to her before Mysterium, and she hasn't been anywhere online since... I just have a feeling I should try to see if she's okay.
But seriously, though, what kind of low life would take a serious question like that and use it to further their simple-minded and immature goal of making you angry? It blows my mind. Half the people in that room are most likely chuckling to themselves and patting said low-life in the back for how witty they were. Misery tends to love company, so they say.
ANYWAY! I don't honestly expect anyone to know Capella's whereabouts, but I figured I would try.
EDIT: Guess she was active on MystCommunity forums on the 11th. At least she's still alive!
