Booooo...
Tuesday, March 4th, 2008Okami Wii was delayed from the perfect date of March 25th, to April 15... Now, it can't possibly be a birthday present. Maaan, and I was so completely prepared to drive into town early to get it. Oh well... At least I'll have Super Smash Brothers Brawl to look forward to. (On next Sunday!)
Also, get a load of this: a study is saying that Daylight Savings Time is actually wasting energy and costing us money. How's that for a slap in face of the government? The article is using Indiana as the subject, which is cool, because we just invoked DST last year. Although they actually said that we citizens were tired of being out of sync. Are they kidding? We didn't get to vote! Our stupid, all-knowing administration decided it was high time something was done about it, and they pushed it through and made it a law without asking all of us. I didn't get to vote! Did you? This was something pushed on the majority of Indiana citizens because our governor got a severe case of Steve Jobs and said "it's for the best, and we know what's best, so you're going to have to deal with it." Pfft, whatever. Just let it be known that this did not come up for a vote, and, if it had, it would have been rejected, because we're smart enough to know that DST is stupid.
Also, Lupantis police have asked me to help with the DNA profiling of accused criminals. I decided to give it to them. I had someone complain that it was infringing on their rights, of course, and then I had someone else who said to go the extra mile and profile all 1.1 billion people. Yeah, that was a bit unrealistic and out of the question, but I agree that a criminal gives up all rights to privacy, so I went ahead and allowed the police to do their thing. I figure, most people aren't ever going to be accused of a crime, but if they are, there's going to be a high chance that they're the type to commit a crime, and it would be nice to have some insurance to help expedite future cases. (Knowing NationStates' tendency to over-react on the decisions you make to allow you to see a more radical change, there'll be some unsuspecting consequence.)
