Obama Again
So it's just hit the internet that everyone's favorite candidate, Barack Obama, has a "soul" now, because he's wearing a bracelet that was given to him by the mother of a KIA soldier in Iraq. Of course, the bracelet is to signify "meaningless deaths", and all the Democrats out there are going ballistic, heralding this man as having a heart and wanting to do the "right thing" and end the war in Iraq. Yeah... A little sickening, if you ask me.
Do you honestly think Obama is wearing that anti-war symbol for any reason besides political gain? He's not wearing it because he's a nice man who feels with the mother, he's wearing it because he knows that it'll get attention and everyone will point it out. This is like being given a huge donation and letting it sit in the bottom of the bank account. It would be stupid not to use it. Obama's not stupid. He knows how to play. He might not know how to run a country, but he sure knows how to get elected.
On the flip side, John McCain, the republican, had also been given a bracelet long before Obama was given his. Do you know the spirit in which this one was given? It was to remind everyone that soldiers had died, and that we should do everything in our power to make sure that none of it was in vain. The very same scenario with a completely different motive, and Obama gets the publicity, because... Oh yeah. It's all the liberal rave to say the Iraq War is a lie and that we need to turn it back over to the terrorists who are relentlessly throwing themselves against the impenetrable American force. We're winning over there, and everyone knows it, but still, somehow, the liberals want us to just drop everything and pull out, somehow thinking that the terrorists will see that as an act of good faith and leave us alone after that... Wow.
Let's recap! Last year, McCain is given a bracelet in support of the Iraq War. Little to no coverage. Today, word reaches us that Obama has also been given a bracelet, although this one is in opposition of the Iraq War. Liberals come out of the woodwork to declare how amazing the guy is for wearing it during his campaign, and that anyone with a heart as big as Obama's deserves to win the election. Please excuse me while I lose my lunch.
