Ugh...

Nothing like trying to take a test exam to hone your skills for A+ certification, only to have your exam application crash three times without any reason. 15 questions out of 80? CRASH. 22 out of 80? CRASH. 34 out of 80? CRASH. I'm going to play Okami now...

Let's see how a numbered list works on this funky new layout!

  1. Apple's Windows System Restore Time Machine seems to have had a feature pulled before release. I don't follow it at all, but when it hits the main page of Digg, it's hard to ignore, and thus I just have to make a comment! Apparently, a touted feature was erased from the website and not released, but now someone says it might still be released afterwards! This, of course, is a very good thing, according to Digg... However, I can't help but think. "So if Apple can do this, why couldn't Microsoft with Vista? Didn't everyone say they should have delayed Vista further instead of releasing with so-called "broken promises" and then adding them later? All those people claiming to wait until the first service pack comes out?" Interesting... Not surprising, but always interesting.
  2. NaNoWriMo has launched! Apparently, they're still working on statistics pages and counters and all that neat stuff, so I can't post any yet. With the site running astronomically slow, it's probably not going to be of much use until the traffic dies down. But! I had 2,057 words the first day, and 3,057 words right now, with 11 hours to go, more or less. I think I'm on track for my 2000-words-a-day rule.
  3. With the horror that is Earth: Final Conflict Season 5 (about as awful as Stargate SG-1 Season 9), I decided to switch to another series on my list... Babylon 5. It was pretty slow the first few episodes, and I decided to take a quick peek at the next in line. Just for a quick break from reading all my school books after supper, you know? Well... 40 minutes turned into 4 hours, and I only got 1000 words written last night. I've done myself an incredible disservice... I've started another really, really good series when I have school, writing, and work to do... Now I have to make room for a new series!
  4. ...and if that wasn't bad enough, I found the Okami final boss battle videos on YouTube last night and decided to watch them, because that's the most awesome part of any game I've ever played before. With the pure awe bursting forth from my LCD, with the music and finishing storyline... I want to play it again. Right now. Forget anything else... But I can't, bah! Well, you know what? Maybe I just will anyway!
