There’s been a recent influx of Playstation fanboys who have begun to use this console price chart to say that, based on “current economy” and “currency inflation” (and all these big words they quote, but probably don’t understand (I’m so mean)), the Playstation 3′s outlandish cost isn’t so bad.
A comment for a Slashdot article about an interview with Satoru Iwata made me look at the chart again just now…
So I’ve seen the chart… and I’m still laughing. Why? The chart that everyone’s using to say “$600 ain’t so bad” shows that Nintendo has always released their main consoles in the US for $200 throughout their entire history. NES… SNES… N64… Gamecube… all $200. Playstation? $300. Playstation 2? $300. Playstation 3? $600? Hehehe.
So who’s getting a Nintendo Wii?
*raises paw*
