Finally...

Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

Today, I finally did it.

From Nintendo Store, I purchased a new Gamecube AC Adapter replacement so that second Gamecube we have can actually be used now... or sold. I purchased the Nintendo WiFi Adapter for my DS. I don't have a wireless access point, yet, and I think this would be better in the long run, since it, by default, only accepts a manually confirmed DS. I also bought the ever elusive Electroplankton... the game I've been searching fervently for in local (and out-of-state) stores to no avail... and then EDRICK BELATEDLY TOLD ME IT WAS ONLY BEING SOLD ONLINE!

Then, from EBGames.com, I purchased Animal Crossing: Wild World so I can finally play with Edrick and Phox, and so they can finally STOP BUGGING ME. I also finally preordered the collector's edition of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion! That game is going to be the best game ever released, man... I watched some new videos on some thing I've never seen before and it got me all impatient again. It ships on March 20th, and with three day shipping, it'll get here for my birthday!! YEY! Happy birthday to meee.

So yes... I think I'm happy now that I've finally done it. I've started to really think about what I buy these days... but I've wanted these things for a very, very long time, and, as my Mom always tells me: "Wait a month and see if you still want it. If you do, then go ahead and get it." Haha, I usually wait much longer than that... I get busy, keep putting off purchasing it, wonder if I even should... then think, "hey... I've been wanting this for a long time. I have more than enough money. I know I'll like it when I get it... so I'd better just do it."

So I did.

Uhm, TW?

Hopefully someone who can contact you quickly (aka Capella? heheh) reads this... or maybe YOU read this. But there's something wrong with your server, yep. I was uploading a wee 6MB file and WinSCP kept saying the server was returning "General Failure". So, having had trouble like this on my own Linux box, I checked harddrive space and, yup, it says it's 100% full... as in... no free blocks... as in... the drive seems to have suddenly switched to read-only mode or something similar.

Everything is functioning normally save for that.

Cheeeeeese!

Cheeeeeese!

Aah! I had Wallace and Gromit on the mind and then I spread it to Edrick.
My apologies... :(

I WANT THE REAL MUSIC!!!

Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

I'm a major music connoisseur.
I listen to all kinds of music from just about everywhere imaginable.

I've recently been on a Lion King music spree.
I think that soundtrack is nice collection of really, really good music.

Anyway! I decided to actually watch the movie again.

AND THE MUSIC IN THE MOVIE IS DIFFERENT!!!

Sure, it's the same thing, essentially, but they're different! Different recordings, obviously. Different pitches on the notes, different inflections in the voices, everything's different! I can't STAND THAT! The music on released soundtrack CDs, in my opinion, should be music taken STRAIGHT from the movie. If possible, the exact clip used in the film.

I think the soundtrack for the new The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe movie is probably the closest to a REAL movie soundtrack. They even included Tumnus' Lullaby, something I would have expected them to leave out, like they did with the music used for Bilbo's Birthday Party in the Fellowship of the Ring movie.

So far, I've got up to Be Prepared in the movie... and my jaw just dropped. It's nothing like what's on the soundtrack! Even with the sound effects they used for what was happening in the video, I think it's far, far better than what they put on the silly CD. Everything sounds... yeah... different. If you wanna hear the difference yourself, you can IM me or somethin'.
